Idle Compensator Tube

Hey all,

I have a 1984 RX7 GSL with a 12A and I had a quick question. I was recently looking at the air filter box, and noticed that my air idle compensator tube is not plugged in to anything. It's just a short black tube coming off the air filter box on the left side (if your facing the front of the car). When adjusting idle, I noticed my haynes manual said "disconnect and plug", which leads me to believe it should be plugged in to something. I looked over the whole area for an hour and can't find any open tubes near it. Can someone tell me where it goes, a picture would be even better. Thank you for reading.
