Hey guys Jake here I have a few ?s for you all first off I have a 89 rx7 its pretty stock I've heard a lot about porting and bridge porting and would like to know what kind of gains I would get from it without having a turbo in the car also what these should cost me I don't have access to a machine shop or I would just try it myself and also could I buy ported parts or does the mod have to be done on the " block " thanks again you guys rock !

Porting the engine is not a "bolt on". It requires tearing down the entire engine, and enlarging the intake/exhaust ports on the irons/housings. There are some pictures on this page: http://www.rotaryheads.com/porting/rx7-porting.html.
