how to tell engine's strength (fairly new rebuild)

i have my rx7 fc and when i gave the car gass in gear the car pulled out, but not with the same power as my other 7's... so i changed the mass air flow sensor to see if it would help, but it didnt.. so im not sure if the compression is good or not any ideas what could be the cause to my lack of power? any suggestions for a good ignition setup also?

If it is an N/A could be seized 5/6th ports causing you to lose power up top or down below. It could also be the lack of them.

Low compression could cause this issue too..

There could be a number of factors here, not the least of which could be that your perceptions are wrong.

Is your other RX-7 a turbo and this one NA?

When the engine was rebuilt, who did it and how? What else was done at the time?

Were the injectors cleaned? Plugs changed? Filters changed?

What caused the original engine to fail?

the auxiliary ports (5th and 6th ports) make a hell of a difference, i felt my 7 really sluggish compared to others, and i cleaned out my actuators and oiled the little shaft, new gaskets, and u can seriously feel the top end, considering that the Na's are really slow...
