How to make more Power 87 rx7 turbo II?

Okay Im a rotary noob and came from the dsm crowd. Had a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd turbo. My question is once all the maintenace is done, such as fluid changes, filter change, plugs, etc. How do you make more power on a 87-89 RX7 Turbo 2 car. I would assume exhaust, raise the boost, (also adding fuel along the way) Bigger fuel pump and then ecu management. Thats the way I did it in the dsm. Throw some input on what else I should know. I have already read some of the noob forums but couldnt find any write ups on this. Link me to one if I missed it. Thanks

Start with the 2nd gen FAQ thread. That should get you pointed in the right direction.

Same general way you make more power on any turbo car:

Stock turbo
1) Intake, exhaust, better fuel pump (FD, Supra, Cosmo, Walbro 255, etc...), larger injectors, fuel control (Rtek 1.x or 2.x, SAFC + FCD, standalone)

Hybrid turbo or full aftermarket turbo
2) Intake, exhaust, pump, injectors, fuel & timing control (Rtek 2.x or standalone), intercooler, water/meth injection, etc...

Note that when you open up the intake and exaust with a stock or hybrid turbo, the wastegate will need porting to avoid boost creep.

Thanks for the info. Whats a cheaper way than a standalone, Rtek 1.x or 2.x, SAFC + FCD those pretty user friendly? Cheaper than a standalone I would think? I know to get the most out of any car is a good tune, otherwise you have the chance of major problems especially on turbo cars and making more than stock boost.

Just a bigger turbo bigger injectors 044 fuel pump and reg and a new ecu.

Most people get 1600 cc injectors and 2 044 pumps and a pre pump and a surge tank and a new computer.

t04z turbo would be good for you,id get the motor rebuilt if ya gonaa spend a bit of money on it just to be safe.
