There are numerous kits that are produced by third parties that will allow you to put an LS series GM engine into an RX-7.
Not much we can do without knowing the year of your car though.

To answer the question, you need to be more specific.
Who is doing the work? A shop or yourself?
Do you have an LS1 already? Or is it something you will be buying?
If buying, a crate engine from the dealer or a salvaged engine from a wrecking yard?
What transmission?
Will the engine need to be rebuilt or are you going to tear it down and mod it?

i was just trying to get a general idea for price at bottom dollar. something to think about for the future. i would probably try to get a salvaged setup just to try and save a few dollars and i'm not sure about the tranny. i haven't done my research yet. what would you think the best motor setup would be for drift? i also have an extra 13b that i was thinking about building from the ground up but i'm not sure if that would be decent setup for drift. i'm pretty sure its from an 88.
my plan is to take it to the track and get some drift experience this up coming summer. and i would be doing all the work myself.

Do more research before you reach any decision.
I know nothing of drifting since it was made popular by TV shows long after I was grown up, but there is a drifting subforum here and that may be the first place to start. Then head over to the Other Engine Conversions subforum to look up engine swaps.

I know, I keep waffling on whether to go with a rotory, or a v8. My 85' has a rather faded paint job(the factory brown) and with a v8, I culd go with a "Rat-Rod lookmaybe with some injectors ticking thru the hood, and I'm frustrated with the 4 lug wheel set-up, so who knows, I'll have the money to work with n a couple months, and I'll decide then.

well keep us posted. i'm really curious to see what y'all are swapping in. i like the 13b but i want a lot more torque. pretty much just trying to piece together a poor man's drift car. so far i'm just gonna weld my diff come spring and get some different wheels and do a full suspension upgrade to coil-overs and replace all the bushings n such. possibly a t2 swap but i really have no idea what would be the best and cheapest solution for a track only drifter.

its not that hard granny speed shop makes bolt in kits even have everything you need kit. wiring would be the biggest issue and if your asking these questions id say it might be currently out of your range..... maybe read and learn more first.

i know i am myself an extreme newbie but i do know a little about LS1's not so much about getting them into an RX7 but wiring should not be to troubling you only need about 10 to 15 wires for the LS1 to run, that does not speak for the wiring for gauges and such though

NOT as easy as building a 13B, CORRECTLY, and then droppin' it in....

Where do you find an LS1 corvette for $4000? Including my rust free 91 Roller, i will have $2100 into my car with >350rwhp. I couldnt even find a TII for that price in my area.
