You can try those suction cup dent pullers.

Anything can be fixed. The amount of work/equipment invoved depends on whether it's just pushed in or if the metal is creased or stretched. The most economical way, if you can get your hand behind the panel, is to use a hammer and dolly to work the dent out or the mentioned suction cup is great if it's a clean dent. Creased or stretched metal is more of a problem. A lot of body shops use a rod spot welded to the skin and attach it to a slide hammer to pull out a hard to get at dent, and then lots of hammer and dolly work, not to mention the paint and prep. Check your local library, they've probably got a few books on basic body repair, that will give you the pictures so you can see what they're talking about. Hopefully you've got an easy dent to pull.

ON Something to consider

Try your local high school. Some schools run autobody or transportation classes that would be willing to do the work for only the cost of materials. Only catch is you wont get a definate time line for how many days it will take to fix, but if you can do without the car for a week its a cheap way to go.

Try a plunger. If that doesn't work, and you don't have any auto body experience, seek the help of a professional because if you start beating on it with a hammer and dolly, you will make it a lot worse.

You'd also be surprised as to what a paintless dent repair person can do for $100.
