Hollow noise from rear suspenion after hittimg bumps at slow speeds

I have a 1994 Mazda RX-7.

Looks like I summed up the issue in the title pretty well. While driving at slow neighborhood speeds (below 35mph), there is a very hollow thud that comes from the rear suspension after hitting small bumps.

The noise goes away after going highway speeds.

The noise was there while the stock suspension was on. I am now running BC Racing coilovers and the same sound is still there

Anyone else experience this?

A 'hollow thud"....the only thing that comes to mind are the differential bushings. They're fluid filled. Look for anything resembling a small oil leak coming from them.
