When I said front I meant front side of the engine. And it is about an inch. If you are looking at the engine standing at the front of the car it will be the closest piece of the throttle arm to you.

You're making this too hard. The secondary plates have a lever at the very front of the throttle body just above and to the right of the TPS that rests upon the bottom of a screw which is completely tightened and that is threaded through the throttle body and the length of this "screw thread" is approximately a third of an inch. Is this what you got?

Just measure the length of the thread which is exposed.

The position of the lever looks good as it should be level (the lever that is). You might want back the screw off a bit while idling and see if it lowers the idle. If not screw it back to its original position which is easy since it's all the way down now. Another thing is if the engine was ported that could lead to a somewhat higher idle. I would still force the BAC to click as suggested even though you said it doesn't leak. And check both pins in the harness plug that connects to it as if one is pulled back it could lead to a higher than normal idle speed. Another poster had this very same problem and the pulled back pin was the culprit.

I was just messing with it and I unplugged the secondary injectors when it was running and it made no difference in how it was running. Is that normal?

Secondary injectors come on line when the car is under load and the rpm reaches 3800 or higher. So this is normal.

You also might want to check the voltage values w/car idling of the Air Bypass Solenoid (has two wires) which is to the right of the BAC.

I just read this on another post. "Just to chime in, I fixed my idle this morning using a DMM. I just made sure the Green/Red and Black/Red were at 1kohm at rest and the Yellow and Blue wire at about 1kohm also at rest. I was getting about 1500, sometimes 1800-2000, sometimes 1200, sometimes 1k. Now it's 700-900 at rest. Good luck man!" What is a DMM? And how do I use it to adjust the idle?
