high idle

So a few weeks back i drove the car to class and noticed a very high idle (near 1900rpm), as well as a coolant leak. The past week I've torn all the hoses out and went non-sequential to eliminate hoses that could cause the high idle. Today after finally putting her back together i turned her over and still have the high idle. There were 2 lines I didn't block off but they are on the front turbo outlet (black elbow) and the front turbo left actuator nipple. So I don't see these causing my high idle problems. I believe the PFC is set at or near 1100-1300idle, but that shouldnt contribute to why im at 1900rpm.

My question is, does anyone else have any ideas to what could be my problem and if so what to look at/for?

Thanks
Bryan

So this is an FD?

The turbo control system wouldn't affect your idle so you converted to non-sequential for the wrong reason...

What other mods do you have? What did the car idle at before you noticed the idle at 1900rpm?

I suggest you read the idle threads in the 3rd gen FAQ thread so you can learn about idle control before working on the car further.

no no. I went non-sequential because I broke a few nipples on the rats nest solenoids. got convinced by a local fd owner to just do the conversion. Yes sorry its an FD. custom intakes. apexi N1. PFC, minimal engine mods. I noticed this the day I had a coolant leak. Ill look through the A-Z thread for some idling issues. Thanks.

Also check the throttle cable isn't too tight and check that there aren't any leaks around the throttle body.

after thinking about it I removed the intake elbow and throttle cable thinking it was the cable opening it it a smidgen. It now idles at 1700 so still higher than normal. what does the AAS technically do. with the screw all the way in it seems to idle alil smoother than if i did the 1/4-1/2 turn.

Today i thought about a possible gasket bend and leaking in air. gonna go make up some quick gaskets to see if that will solve my problem before i order new throttle gasket and uim gasket

Update. has anyone tried these home made gasket makers? I have the cork version and it seems to increase my problem rather than hope to eliminate it. Unless perhaps i had fuel in my housings when i turned her over before starting her up. but you'd think it wouldn't take 10 seconds to lower idle. instead it stayed at 2500rpm
