Hi im 18 and just got a hold of my dream car a 1986 Rx7 Fc. Then problem is that the engine is shot and im broke because im still in high school. I was just trying to see if there is anyone that knows of an engine that would fit well in the fc just to get it running and back on the road. It doesn’t matter to me what engine it is or brand I just want to get this car back on the road so people can see it.

 

A used running s4 (1986-1988) engine keg is the cheapest option. Also could run a used s5 keg and mount your manifolds and electronics onto.

Probably would cost you a couple hundred for a used engine (if you can find one and up to what the seller seems the price to be).

add the other gaskets, clutch if needed, etc.

 

this might not be the best car to own if youre broke
