Hi!

Hi I’m new to rotaries but not to cars. My names frank. I just bought an rx7 fc with 250k mi but 15k on motor and clutch. My car smokes a lot on startup but it’s bluish black. Also I know they’re supposed to burn oil with the OMP but I’m not sure how much smoke is normal

More pics

Here’s more pictures, it’s an s4 na with a few “mods.” Racingbeat header back exhaust, 12 lb aluminum flywheel with stage 2 clutch, and 5 lug conversion.

Welcome Frank!! That's a very nice FC you have! Do you know who rebuilt the engine and if new housings or irons were used? Were the original irons lapped? Any idea which kit was used in the rebuild?

I have no clue but I wish. I’ll try to contact previous owner and ask. Also, I live in Alexandria va and I’m having a hard time finding rotary experts when it comes to tuning, any guidance for the dc area? And I can’t find any speed shops that sell seats either.

Welcome to forum. Try some fresh oil and a heavy grade like a 25/60 some times cures the start up smoke blowing

The engine calls for 20W50 engine oil. I've used it in my 7's since day one. It works very well. You can hit up the regional forums and see who in your area can physically help with the car if you need it. Otherwise we are here to help you as best as we can!

Awesome! I plan on making it the cleanest daily I can and I have some mods planned already but nothing crazy that will hurt my car or make it less reliable.
