My 13b was just rebuilt and needs to be broken in. But I have been having issues with acceleration. I have tried everything I can think of to try and get rid of the studdering and hesitation when accelerating. When revving to about 4 grand the studder occurs and the car won't go above 5 grand even floored. I pulled the spark plugs and they are black from burnt fuel I presume. The only 2 things I can think of that could be wrong is that my furl/air ratios are off and its way too rich, or my timing is off. I will be getting my friend to come over and fix my laptop connection issue to the microtech ecu today or tomorrow. Do you guys have any ideas as t why my 13b is doing this???

 

Running a standalone, it could be a number of tuning related issues. Get the laptop hooked up and see what's going on. Black soot on the plugs indicates fouling, which can be due to overly rich mixtures.
