CT hesitation at 3500 to 4000 rpm

my 1987 is hesitating at 3500 to 4000 rpm and also sometimes when i first start driving the car and it is still cold the idle goes up and down between 1000 and 2000 rpms. any help would be appreciated

it sounds like your car has a vaccume leak
