Could be a restriction in the fuel system. Fuel sock in the fuel tank, fuel filter, Fuel Relay, fuel pump and so on.

Agree with the above suggestions.
Also, are all emissions in tact? Working airpump? It's not universal, but I've seen some report similar symtoms with the FD after removing the AP on the stock ECU.

I'm working on the fuel filter now.. appearently the OUT is facing the transmission.. adjusting it so it faces the engine a bit more. I"ll be checking the fuel sock after

I'm not too familiar on how the air pump operates.. so far all I know is that its belt driven.. The car is Na not sure if that helps much..

what I do know. is with a steady foot you an drive throughout the entire rpm band.. its only when you stomp on the accelerator pedal the car chokes.. keep ya foot on the gas and you get wierd noises which sounds like backfires in the rotor housing or the rotors themselves

You have a fuel relay located underneath the air box. Its role is to increase voltage to the fuel pump when you accelerate quickly. If this unit were not operating properly then it "could be a cause for your problem." If you wanted to bypass this relay then disconnect the plug to it and jumper one of the Blue/Red wires to one of the Blue/Green wires and see if it makes a difference.

Could be your injector harness wires and connectors are brittle from the extreme rotary heat. Check for hard injector harness wiring within 1 foot of connectors. Replace using shrink wrap after soldering. Also, the old brittle injector connectors are interchangeable with mid-90's Cutlass Supreme injector connectors. They are usually in good shape, since they aren't exposed to the same extreme heat. This usually solves the 3-5k hesitation.
