Question Help! What is this?

Hi everyone, i recently bought a 1985 FC3S GTR, and it has a device attached underneath the steering wheel on the left hand side, which i have absolutely no clue of its use. can some one please tell me what it is and how to use it! thanks in advance! (please refer to the attached photo)

four buttons from left to right: set, 0.5, 1, 3 and power
three lights from left to right: green, yellow and red

p.s. anyone know where i can find the original user's manual that comes with the car (not the factory one)?

Looks like an aftermarket fuel map system. I have never seen it before.

It is a Fizz Turbo Timer... but a very old one....

I was trying to find the Manual for this unit but it´s impossible... I even can´t find the Fizz web page

In any case a Turbo timer main function is to assist in cooling down the turbocharger to prevent oil coking in the center bearing cartridge assembly. Oil "coking" occurs when a turbocharger is not properly cooled down and the oil that normally lubricates the center cartridge heats up and forms solidified oil deposits. A turbo timer allows an engine to idle for a preset amount of time after the ignition key has been turned to the off position and removed. By allowing a turbocharged engine to idle, oil continues to pass through the turbo until it has cooled down to the point where oil "coking" will not occur.

I suppose that the numbers you see are the minutes the engine has to idle, and the lights could be the temperature of the oil ¿?¿?¿?

OK, but how do i turn it on and off? set? power? i mean it must be off at the moment because there is no delay when i shut the engine down. the other thing is, do i really need it? the car has not been tuned in anyway - a part from this thing of course - do i need a aftermarket turbo timer for a stock engine and an intercooler?

Thank you guys for your reply!

No, the stock turbos are water cooled and resist the coking because heat is lowered on the bearing assembly.

But any aftermarket turbo without water cooling pretty much requires a Turbo timer.

That's good to know. But I still don't know how to use it thourgh - i guess:
1. push "power"
2. choose 0.5-3
3. push "set"

Would this be right?

Don't quote me on this, but if it's set properly, all the buttons to the right indicate a power-off timing preference.
1 may be 30 seconds
2 may be 1 minute so on and so forth

*waiting on more knowledgeable people to chime in*
