BC Help please... starting issues?

hey guys,
my little brother got a 89 rx7 recently,
he put in a new battery and i think he connected the positive to negative and vise versa
so now it turns over but wont start....
any ideas

The car is completely ruined and yer prolly gonna have to sell it to someone from RX-7 Club to unload it... ::straightface::

Let's see what the 2ndgen guru's have got to say...if it was a 1stgen with a carb, I 'd know exactly what's happened...ya flooded the beast.

OK so if he didn't fry the computer, I would suggest first making sure you have both fuel and spark, then if you have both it might be a flooding issue check out one of the many flooding threads, and if thats not it then check your crank angle sensor mine went out and it was cranking but not firing. There's some stuff to start you off.

From: tulsa,ok.
Check the EGI fuse in the engine fuse box, and the 15 amp Engine fuse in the interior fuse box.

hey guys
yeah i checked the fuses all good,
than went on to sparks all fine,
fuel was good,
fittled around, filled it with gas,
finally after contiunusly turning it over,
she finally started to choke abit,
than it cranked over and blew out alot of smoke,
so flooded, i just dont see why from the battery screw up,
anyways guys thankkkss for all the help

fc's are notorious for flooding it probably wasn't just because of the battery, they just have a flooding issue.
