SC Help please!

I have a 91 FC and I can start it, drive and then about 5 minutes into driving ill push the pedal in and around 3000rpms it kicks back and slowly dies, I thought it was my fuel pump so I replaced that and it wasn't the problem (just my luck). Could it be the fuel filter, spark plugs? Im in the mindset that it has something to do with fuel and any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm in charleston sc and have to leave Monday and really need my car working by then, thanks guys ,
Cameron

It sounds as though it may be fuel related. Is it out of fuel?

Do you have a check engine light?

Check the fuel filter. It may be clogged.

Are there any other symptoms? Does this happen hot or cold?

Yeah my check engine light comes on, and I changed the fuel filter and spark plugs too, its like it misfires, could it be my cat converter? Because my intake manifold stays cold? Im stumped :/

There is a Green check connector that has but one wire that is Orange and it's located right near the leading coil. So you ground this wire to the negative battery terminal and turn the key to on and it will supply you with any codes.

A #10 error code would be for the intake temp sensor inside the AFM.

I don't know specifically but if you have an error code for it you need to investigate further.

Hey man honestly I think it could be your rear rotor do a compression test on your engine, front and rear rotor housings, but I'm pretty sure it's that, your symtoms fit with what that sounds like

check your Map sensor, i read in a thread a couple days ago the guy had the same symptoms as you. the car choked out after 4k and wanted to die. if you check the fd thread about car sitting in the field revival, you'll know more on what he did. but i know that after replacing the MAP sensor it fixed the problem. Alright guys so this might sound stupid but I took out my cat the other day to see if it was and it wasn't but as I put it back on I was looking under the car and along the the exhaust there is some sort of piping and its really small and looked like half of it was missing and in the end of the small pipe there was a part ofa rag stuck in it, so I yanked it out and my car starting running better but now only starts messing up around 4k, can anyone tell me what that small price of metal piping is? I think something could be clogging the pipe, I'm no mechanic, I just try an keep up and learn lol , thanks guys!
