Help needed identifying vacuum hose in '79 Rx7
For reference as it may be important:
Model: 1979 Rx7 SA22C (Canadian model as far as I know)
Engine: Stock 12A
Carburetor: Stock Nikki
So I've been rebuilding my engine and I've just noticed something I must have missed when I took a hiatus - a vacuum hose that leaves the carburetor and swings around to the car's right side (marked with arrows in the following photo). My problem is that broken piece of blue plastic sticking out of it: I can't figure out where it comes from! The only blue piece of hardware I remember seeing is the air cleaner, which is metal (and unbroken).
The next photo shows the other end of the line:
As you can see, it inserts just above the idle adjust screw. I'm sorry if it's an obvious question but I can't seem to find this one on the vacuum hose diagram I have for the 12A. Obviously it worries me that I've broken something I can't even figure out what it is.
Cheers,
Kristian
