i have a 87 FC no compression on motor. there is this guy that sells me a running 13b but its carburated and he will only sell me the block can i put all the pieces from my motor on that block or is it different dont know. i dont want to buy it then figure out that the pieces dont go together.

yup its the non turbo s4 so ill be ok swapping the parts thanx man i appreciate it.
i bought a used 13b motor from someone and i swapped the one i had in my fc finished it, and it started but shakes too much. Doesnt smoke just when it idles around 900 it vibrates a lot. what can it be?

If the new engine is from an '86-'88 (S4) car, then it is as simple as bolting the manifolds, etc.. on.
If the engine is from an '89-'91 (S5), you will also need to swap the front covers due to differences in the oil metering systems.
You also need to be sure the engine matches your current model (NA or turbo). NAs have 6 ports, while turbos have 4. The intake manifold for a 6-port will not bolt up to a 4-port and vice versa unless it is first port matched.
