Do your research before making a trade. If you know nothing about rotaries getting one so extensively modded is probably not the best idea.

Depends on how its set up, if the modder is competent and most importantly the tune.

Lots, the search feature at rx7club.com is very handy.

Depends on what you buy, there's cheap parts, expensive parts and really expensive parts. Rebuilding the engine is usually more then a piston engine.

No fuel mods listed, so I am guessing 200ish at the wheels.

since you need to ask and you havent done research...then it wont be reliable if you dont maintain it.

how do they run? using doritos... but seriously, you need to do research, ive been researching these cars for about a year and a half, still learning something new all the time. i wanted to get one last summer but after reading the stickies and threads i found out i wasnt ready for a car like this. this summer i think i will be ready.

the motor life is dependent on how well you maintain it, watching out for overboost, running lean, etc. like i said, search is your friend.

theres a bunch more to help get you started. rebuilds are around $2000. read up on as much as you can. threads, stickies, all very useful.

The 2nd gen faq should answer some if not most of your questions. Get a compression check on the engine then report back. You really can't tell how much life is left before the engine goes pop based on mileage.

I'll be smogging my 7 for the first time this year. It's been almost 2 years and california requires the seller to smog the car for the buyer before purchase. My 7 just has a downpipe and low miles (44k) so passing smog shouldn't be that hard. Any more upgrades and my chances of passing would be greatly decreased.

My other ''older'' cars that aren't in the greatest shape always have a tough time passing.
