Help with engine identification

Hey Im hoping to buy my first rx-7 this weekend but one things stopping me. The guy whos selling it claims the engine is a 1.8l 13b dual rotary wankel. I am new to rotary engines but as far as I can tell the 1.8 liter part doesnt make sense. Please let me know if its legit or wether its from a different car all together. Thank you

Take a pic and post this "1.8 litre"as there is no such thing.
Does it run, what series of car, what year, good shape?..
If it runs OK and is in good shape you may be able to get it for a good price.
BUT do your research so you can tell the guy why it shouldn't be HIS price!

Its an 86 fc with very minimal rust. The guys asking 1500 and the only thing that I know is wrong with it (besides the engine being a mystery to me) is a loose driveshaft knuckle. Ill see about pics of the engine

How hard/expensive would it be to fix the loose knuckle on the driveshaft? I know very little about cars but have good mechanic friends to help me do the work myself. This cars gonna be my first real project so might as well make it an rx-7

Entire driveshaft needs to be replaced. U-joints are not replaceable. Or you can have a custom shaft made with replaceable joints from a drive shaft shop. Easy to remove and re-install.

/\/\..this.
Or if you decide to get the car,put up an AD in the Wanted Section or Sec Gen parts, and acquire a used one.

Thanks for the help. I picked up the car today and everything is great except for the u joint. Just curious, why is the u joint non replacable? And what are the price differences and benefits between buying new and used driveshafts?

New around $300+ but you should be able to find one for less than $100 used.
