Hey everyone! Am Ross from scotland i am looking to buy an rx-7 so was hoping you guys would be able to give a bit of advice on what i should be looking for whats the best model/engine to go for etc and generally point me in the right direction lol thanks.

Well, I'd suggest you start by reading the FAQ threads stickied in this forum. Which RX7 to buy is going to depend on your budget and availability. Neither of which any of us here know.

Low budget( second gen:86-91) make sure it's a Turbo II it is very hard to turbo an NA model and you will end up doing a motor swap. After that you still have a weaker differential and I think still stuck with 4 lug hubs don't waste your time go for a TIi.

High budget ( third gen: 93-03) can't really go wrong. All third gens are twin turbo. The r1 model has a few extra goodies like dual oil coolers and missing sun roof for added weight savings.
