There are many alternatives for the Stock Ecu replacement with the Haltech E6X being one of them.
Personally I think it is a dinosaur and you should be looking at something a little more up to date.
The newer alternative would be the Haltech Sprint RE which is the lower base model but is a good price and easy to tune.
Some factors to get a New ECU would be IF you can tune it or If the Guys that you want to tune it are familiar with the model...and price of course.
