GSL-SE rebuild

Picked up an 84 GSL-SE and it's been parked in my garage for about 7 years. Now that I have time I would like to start rebuilding it. I don't know where to begin (besides the obvious, removing the engine lol) any help, tips would be appreciated. Thanks

After sitting for 7 years, there will be a lot of work...This will get you started:

You may not even need to rebuild the engine. Once properly lubricated you can perform a compression check, and look inside the exhaust ports to check for excessive corrosion.

Ok checked everything and it looks like I'm going to have my hands full! Needs a starter, split air pipe, tie rods....ect. The spark plugs looked ok no rust. Part of the engine wire harness looks burnt. Any info on locating a engine wire harness for a 13B. Thanks

Not yet. I've been looking thru some wiring diagrams but I don't know where to begin or how to accurately check it. Its not the entire harness its just some connectors near the master
cylinder and some of the relays near that same area

Any info on this will be appreciated Thanks

You may be able to find an engine harness in the 1st gen classifieds section.

Too bad you didn't ask earlier because I just threw out 2.
