Unhappy Great messed up the Idle mixture.... wont start...

I need some serious help with getting my car to start. I recently messed with the Idle mixture screw thinking it was something else. It used to start up all of the time when ever cold and without doing anything, and would start up hot too. But now It wont even start when cold! Just recently I dialed it back to start sometimes but its still a real B**** to start, and its not a flood, I know that because ive tried the the deflooding tricks which used to get it right back up if needed but it still doesnt start. And I need to figure out how to return the idle mixture to its original settings or find out how to dial it in without the use of a volt meter to check the resistance. Any ideas for me this is my daily driver to school and if it doesnt consistiently start im am in serious trouble!!!! If any one lives in or near san jose / cupertino and can help me with this that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
-Masahiro K.

The idle mixture screw (variable resistor) on an S4 doesn't have anything to do with the amount of fuel delivered on start up. Is your car S4 or S5? If you're actually talking about the screw on the AFM, then that can prevent the car from starting. But the odds are that you flooded it badly. Check the plugs for gas.

Yes, more than likely a flooding issue. You should probably take a picture of which screw you're talking about.

I agree with the others. Take the plugs out and see if there is gas residue. If there is, then it is flooded.
