Gas leak in carberator

I am haveing an issue of when I take my 79 rx7 out for a drive and then shut the engin off you can see gas leaking inside the carb throat. I haven't yet determined if it only occurs after I have kicked open the secondarys or if it all the time, all I can say is that the car is hard to start after a drive and white smoke comes out the tail pipe but only after I hold the pedle to the floor. Also when the smoke clears if I hold the rpm's at about 4000 rpm's the smoke starts agin to the point that it looks like a smoke bomb went off. I believe the problem lies with the use of the secondary circuit. Any thoughts on this please. Wirelesswally

I don't have any input on your carb problem, never really worked on the stock nikki carb, but you will have much better luck finding an answer if you post in the 1st gen specific section.
