Flywheel warpage and Idle issues
I posted a few days ago about a slight skip or miss at idle. I have heard that changing the flywheel will make them do that sometime if you put a lighter one on even if it is counter balanced correctly. My car has 63K on it and the only mods are a downpipe and greddy intake. Some one put a RB clutch disk in before i bought the car and it was slipping so i had to replace it. I had the flywheel sent out and the machine shop said it was .03 inch out of round the circumfrence of the flywheel along the ring gear and the clutch contact surface was out of round also. They machined the contact surface but cant do much for the circumference. Does anyone think this could affect idle. The only reason i ask is because in a normal piston motor i dont think would be much reason for concern but on a rotary i have no clue. This is my first rotory. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
