Flooded It, oil change?
So I just changed the oil in the RX the other day, went to pull it out of the garage this morning, flood it. Zero miles yet on oil change. I just out of habit shut it off without doing the 3000 rev trick.
Should I trash this oil? I've allready done the atf in the spark plug holes trick, and cranked it over to lubricate the rotors, waiting about an hour with the plugs out before I put em back in and try to crank.

You should be ok.It's New oil so it should tolerate a "wee" bit of fuel. Not much would have gotten in anyways with just ONE flooding.
You can always smell the dipstick and check for fuel smell that way.Change it if you are real finicky.
Now,Multiple floodings,(like very day for 2 weeks) Yes I would definitely change it.

Thanks man. So I let it sit for about 2 hours with plugs out while I was doing some other stuff. As soon as I put the plugs back in it cranked right up and smoked for about 20-30 seconds and then a small amount of smoke for a while. Now it seems fine. If anything its got a bit more torque off the low end since I replaced the plugs/wires/oil change/tps adjustment.

Rev to 3000 and either kill the ignition or hit your fuel kill switch so that the engine doesn't suck in any gas as it winds down. Rotor chambers should be relatively clean for a safe starting sequence again right off the bat or whenever you get ready to crank her up again.

This is what this board is all about. Regular members, please don't just say search, offer the solution you think will work and then a new member gets to enjoy his car again right off the bat.
Thank you very much for responding back to let us know the positive outcome. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Plugs are absolutely murdered by the ignition systems of rotary engines, so they have to be replaced a lot earlier than you would normally expect. It's just cheap insurance to ensure the engine will start on that cold, rainy day.

So when you start up again, you start from "scratch".
The pump has to prime the fuel rails to get fuel to the engine. This method is supposed to alleviate the Flooding issue.
This works somewhat,But If the car is running good, you don't necessarily have to do this.It is not required to do every time...Only TRY it if you have a "little problem' with starting. If it works then stay with it.
It is not a Sure fix though.

the key to that 3000 rpm trick is to shut car down when the injector pulse width is zero.
ie. your foot must be off the pedal when shutting the car down.
my coworker couldnt figure out why his flooded every time he did it. he shut down while punching the gas pedal and it was like one last burst of fuel.

Last time I got an engine rebuild, I brought it to a bodyshop to get some work done. Weeks later the guys there told me that they crank the crap out of it and it still won't start. I decided to pour 2 cycle oil into gas and also added a bit of oil through the spark plug holes. It started right up. But left a cloud of white oil smoke that would have made an environmentalist nervous.

I used a de-flooding method of purging with windshield wiper fluid on an RX8 and worked instantly. check the thread on the RX8club. De-flooding in 5 minutes i think was the subject. Perhaps developed on RX7's but not sure. I am not sure if it would work on 7's
