Fix hose? Replace air box? Replace radiator also?

Hose pic

just got to this car after being stuck on an extended deployment. It's Been sitting at my parents and i find this hose sheared off. Should I just try and seal it back on to the air box or just not bother and replace the radiator completely.

If you can't tell from the picture, the house is fine but it took a chunk of the airbox with it.

It's just recirc for the crv or bov. It doesnt matter. You can remove that fat black hose entirely if you want or just set it up against the air box. No adverse affect from the broken part there.

if you have concerns about the rad you should replace it. its not a difficult job. you also might want to replace the coolant hoses as they are still available from the dealer. cheap insurance for a car that runs so hot. for the air box hose you might want to at least plug the hole properly or you will be sucking in dirty hot air. if it was my car i fix it properly and would fabricate up something from the hardware store like a PVC pipe fitting with a nut on the inside and some silicone. after re-attaching the hose you wouldn't even be able to tell. all stock, clean and proper.

Can’t remember for sure but IIRC the stock bov spring is weaker than aftermarket and will allow some unfiltered air at idle. Seems like you could hear it with the hood open.

I don’t think that’s a common failure point of the stock air box. At least one or two of the three hoops on the bottom half of the box that hold the top half are usually broken.
Once you meet post requirements you could post a WTB (Wanted) ad in the parts trading section. Stock boxes used to be dirt cheap but it’s changing now, so the sooner the better.
