First Tune - What to ask?

Had my FD for 2 months now, Had a run at Mobara 3 weeks ago, went well no problems.

Want to get it tuned properly by RE Amemiya (just down the road from my work here in Japan. I know lucky me) to make sure everything is running as it should especially boost levels as no boost controller yet or boost gauge.

What should i be asking for in the tune so i don't look/sound like a total newbie ********???????

Thanks for any advice

You can't get your car 'tuned' unless you have a tunable engine control unit. It sounds to me like you are looking more for a tune-up. As in, is my car in good shape?

I am willing to bet that RE Amemiya knows their stuff, so you should just have to ask for a tune up.

I agree. Ask for what they call in the states a "100 point checkup". FDs frequently need fluids, filters, suspension components, brakes, solenoids/emissions parts, etc replaced as routine maintenance. You definitely need to keep on top of this stuff above all other mods and goodies. Then afterward, if you don't end up with a scary list of to-do's or a big bill, have a discussion about what you want from the car and what they think it will take to get you to that point.

If you are a newbie I do not recommend entering with an HP goal in mind. FDs don't make massive power and moderate power makes for massively powerful car. The best FD builds by far involve getting the car in great overall shape and then if more power is desired, incrementally building the car to the desired power level.
