FD Series 8 (2002) oil injector problem

Here is a pic of the brass insert that is supposed to go into the S8 housing. I kept my old ones in there but gave them a good going over with WD40, compressed air and a fine wire. Took a while but all the gunk was eliminated and when we turned the engine over by hand we could hear the escaping air as the rotor came around on the compression stroke.

Note the side exit of the oil spray. What you don't see is the top part where the oil injector mates with the insert via a o-ring. Interesting design.

But it looks like we've hit a problem with the oil injectors again. Was suspicious when some smoke still remained on start-up so I took a look at the oil injector set-up under the rats box (also chasing vaccum leak and secondary turbo issues).

Looks like there is a small pool of oil around both oil injectors. Going to pull them out again in the next few days. We suspect the brass insert has become clogged again by decaying rubbet grommets/o-rings.

Does anybody know if S8 oil injector installs utilise grommets/o-rings that sit under the injector in the housing? Ha anyone replaced oil injectors on a S8 before?

Any help would be appreciated.
