Fd rear jack stand location

i know this has been asked a million times before but the two locations I have found won’t work for me. I found the pinch weld and subframe. I can’t use the pinch weld as it had rusted out so I have cut it out and am in the process of repairing it and I can’t use the subframe as I am trying to remove it. Are there any other locations I can use. I don’t want to risk damaging the car or having it fall on me by using the wrong place.

Thank you

I normally use big wooden blocks under the ends of the chassis box sections either side of the tunnel. I believe you can also put stands under the points where the rear tow eyes are, but hopefully someone else can confirm that.

These are the jack points designated in the owner’s manual. But I’ve used the pinch welds at various locations along the rocker without issue. Just spread the load out with a short section of 2x4 and it shouldn’t be an issue. And I’m not sure I understand...by saying “subframe” do you mean cross members? Do you have a drivetrain in the car?

Jack I take it the place you mentioned first is for the front? As for the rear I checked and it looks like the fuel tank is in the way where it mounts to the chassis but could I put the stands straight under the tow eye? Sgtblue I would consider using the rocker but since I have cut a big square out of it I think it would be took weak to place the weight of the car on. By subframe I mean the thing that holds the diff and suspension stuff. It might be called a cross member but I’ve always called it a subframe.

Don't those box sections run the length of the tunnel? I could be wrong, it's been a while since I had the rear up in the air, but I'm pretty sure I've supported the car from there before.

I’m not sure I thought they were only at the front half I’ll check later. Hopefully they do

I can’t see them at the back. I think I’ll just put a bit of wood around the bolts where the subframe mounts to the chassis and put a stand there as that has to be strong enough to hold the weight of the car normally.
