Hey guys,

So since recently my FD has started bucking quite heavily whenever I go off light throttle. Another thing that is starting to get worse and a bit annoying is the backfiring whenever I go off throttle at low RPM, I'm not sure this is normal but there really is a lot of popping in the exhaust.

And lastly, I have replaced my O2 sensor with a new one, old one was completely white, which I believe indicates a lean mixture.

Now my FD is a 95 JDM, it is completely stock except for a Catback. Could these issues be related and if so what might be the cause? Other than these issues the car runs and drives completely fine.

Okay after a bit more searching, I think all this could be explained by the TPS being out of spec?

 

Did this just start out of the blue or did this happen after changing your catback (or some other work done on the car)?

 

It happend after i changed plugs and wires, if i recall correctly i did unplug the connector on the tps when i did this. Since then especially the backfires are gradually getting worse, i.e. more frequent.

 

Little update, I have checked the TPS and found it was a little bit out of spec. After adjusting, the backfires and the bucking have almost completely dissapeared
