FC3S - Megasquirt Idle Issues
Hello,
I'm having some issues getting my car to idle correctly. Its an 87 Turbo 2, it has a Pineapple Racing large streetport (intake and exhaust). I recently installed a MS3X 3.57, I bought it with the megasquirt but had to rewire everything because it was a mess. The car has a straight pipe, a rebuilt motor, and an FMIC. I recently installed an AEM Truboost gauge/controller and has an UGO wideband.
The issue is that I can't get it to idle without it surging. I've tried modifying the VE tables, however it continues to surge. I've adjusted the hardstop and inspected for vacuum leaks. It will lean out to about 14.9 and then bog down to around 10.5 every 5 or so seconds. The timing is currently locked to -5 degrees but it does the same thing if I use the standard ignition table. the base tune is from aaron cakes walk-through as well. I have the Idle control valve disabled as I didn't want closed loop hunting for an idle with the VE tables incorrect. It doesn't have any emissions set up and runs the stock 550 primary injectors.
I can pull a data log and my MSQ file as well. Thank you for any input, i couldn't find anything on the forums that fit my issue (I'm also new to the RX7 world).
