NC FC blinker problem (S4)

Went to check the cars blinkers the other day before I start tearing it down for paint. I've never driven the vehicle so didn't notice the blinkers didn't work right. If you use a turn signal the hazards come on, no matter if it's a right or left hand turn. It looks like the previous owner wired in a crappy temp gauge and I'm not sure if he touched something. Any help is appreciated as I want it diagnosed before I pull anything else out. Thanks in advance

Yup the hazards all work properly. But when you turn the blinkers on it signals the hazards.

At first glance I though it would be a flasher module which would usually be a cheap fix be apparently they are a circuit board in the CPU for the S4 ($95). I don't want to purchase a 100 dollar board and it turn out to not be the problem. Any ideas on diagnosis?

If you think that the gauge wiring job is a problem, then Yank it.
The only real way to know is to bring it back to "known stock".That way you can start troubleshooting from there.
That is why I hate buying someone else's Hack job.
If it is not stock or close to it,I walk..I get enough headaches,I don't need another one!
...and why buy a 100 board when you can get a used Flasher cpu for like 20 bucks in the Sec Gen parts Section?
Unless the car is Pristine, then I can understand new parts, but if the car is not in the best shape,it is not going to know that it is getting a used part!..Buy USED!

Honestly I don't know why I didn't think about using a parts car to grab it. Wow. I'll start there as I've already torn out al the crappy gauges and what not. Nice addition

At the CPU you will find three plugs. One should have seven wires and both a Green/Black wire and Green/White wire as well as a Green/Red wire in addition to a Green/Yellow wire.

When you use the turn signal to make a right turn the Green/Yellow wire will have voltage and not the Green/Red wire. Also, the Green/White wire will have voltage when the Green/Yellow has voltage and the Green/Black wire should not have voltage when the Green/Yellow wire has voltage (but in your case it must based on the way you explained your condition). The likely scenario is either the circuit board is problematic or possibly an S5 turn signal switch was used.

Will check voltages this week when I have time. As for the S5 turn signal is there anyway to tell an S4 from S5?
