FB Rev limit before redline?

Hey all! I'm new to the rx7 scene, I have an 8 as well. This is my first time dealing with carbs as well. When I take the car up to higher rpms, it stops accelerating and sounds like its hitting an rpm limit. It seems like its misfiring occasionally, and this doesnt feel like a misfire, as it is sustained, and only at high rpms. What could be causing this that I should replace? Plugs? Something with the distributor?

what rpm does it stop accelerating? could be a carb or fuel pressure issue.

Around 5500 to 6k is where it does it. Off and on at exactly what rpm though

welcome to the board.

just for the sake of clarity, is this a 12A with the stock intake?

off the cuff, it sounds like you may not be getting adequate fuel. what pump are you running, and when was your last filter change? also, is your timing set correctly?
