Exhaust leak.

Hi im a fairly new rx7 owner. I bought an 88 Rx7(non turbo) for 800 bucks and it had an exhaust leak. i didnt think it was a big deal. I drove it around for a couple weeks just fine. then out of nowhere it got alot louder. It seemed to be coming from the manifold. i just removed the manifold and it doesnt look like it was leaking from there. but there is a hole by the exhaust manifold on the block? (rotor housing?) what goes here???

Pretty sure there's a freeze plug supposed to go there. And if not installed, that hole leads directly to the EGR passages.

yea, inspect the rest of the exhaust for leaks, exhaust temps are high and can cause holes faster
