I want to know if they make a racing eccentric shaft, and if the do is it necessary to replace the stock one? also wonder that same thing about the rotors? please any advice helps.
I have heard of people using airplane rebuild kits for there rx7's, any one else hear of this. I hear they last longer and are more dependable, which would make since. thanks.

Too old for this
Rotary Aviation makes apex seals as well as other rotary parts. There is a lot of debate on whether they are better than Mazda seals. Really, there is debate about all the different kinds of apex seals. I'm using RA seals in my engine right now. Time will tell how good they are.

ok i will just use the mazda seals, and eccentric shaft. I still was unclear however on the rotors, do they make lighter ones, or do you just have to have them machined? thanks for the help.

Upgrading the internals of a rotary engine isn't really a necessary thing. if you want a solid engine that will handle large amounts of horse power you need to choose quality rebuild parts and make sure all of your clearances are withing spec. What I recommend is Rotary aviation super seals , Rotary aviation race apex springs, Upgraded oil jets on the eccentric shaft, and solid corner seals. The eccentric shaft stock can be used to support 1000+ HP with proper supporting mods, and lightening the rotors does help you rev more quickly, but otherwise doesn't really have a noticeable effect on horsepower, at least not that justifies the cost. The only point of contention you might run across is when it comes to studding the engine. Personally I suggest you use studs if you plan on running over 15psi. To me the additional cost is added security and worth the investment. But basically take your time and build your engine carefully or send it to someone that knows how. As for porting I suggest a medium street port and a well blended and polished bowl to provide good intake charge velocity. Other than that, there really isnt much you need to do.
And yes there is a 2 piece eccentric shaft made by Guru in NSW Australlia

ok that sounds very positive because i do not so much want to get all the horse power i can out of the engine as i do want to make it durable and dependable. I appreciate your time. I will get the studs done along with the oil jets. I did want to do the porting, and going to far with it was a main concern so i will stick with the street port. any suggestions on a good turbo for circuit style racing? HKS, Greddy??
