Engine hoses.
Hey I have seen a lot of people with colored hoses to match their car. I was at Walmart and came across plastidip while I was there but it only comes in black, white and clear. So I was wondering if I could spray paint my hoses and then blast it with clear plastidip? Is there anyone who has tried this and if so what was the outcome? Photos would help!
I know this doesn't matter but: s5 na rx7!

The colored hoses are silicone. The black ones are rubber.
As a general point, silicone hoses can stand higher temperatures, but are porous, unlike rubber.
And everything in the engine bay should be expected to survive 200 degrees plus.
So my recommendation is to test your theory by painting a hose and putting it in an oven for a while, see what happens.
I personally wouldn't even consider it.

There is nothing wrong with rubber hoses.
Silicone is good too,and it's flashy..bling.bling..But it does the same job in the end as the old rubber hoses do!
HINT:little things that add "flair: will quickly add up,and if the car just looks good but doesn't have the mechanical aspect of that taken care of first,it just becomes the nicest Lawn ornament you ever had.
Attend to the over all running of the car first, make sure that it will be safe and "reliable"(like good brakes,suspension,etc)..then,start focusing on the Bling to show the car off.
No sense in having a car with a Oil cap that cost you 140 bucks but doesn't run due to a bad coolant seal...right?....(YES,they sell 140 buck oil caps!)
