Oh, and I realize your car is n/a, but still I'd use a metric tap set and chase any exhaust studs and holes to clean the threads. And use hi-temp anti-seize when re-torqueing. Only takes a few minutes but jacking with a broken stud or chasing an exhaust leak is not fun.
