my friend put a digital cluster in his s13. n i was wondering if i can do the same wit my 89rx7 vert.

the only problem is the this cluster only rpms to 8. mine goes to 9. i've seen s2000 digital cluster n they go up to 9 n they very nice. i just wanted to kno if anyone has done anythin like this to their fc.

Long version,If you enjoy a wiring nightmare,anything is possible.
It would look nice but I am gonna stick with my gut and say NO.

 

say i go with the long version. lol. would the s2000 cluster be the best choice. shoot mite as well be the first one to do it to a fc. lol. but yea. the wiring will be a nightmare!

 

Look up a Guy named Clokker.
He does tinkering like this.

You are gonna have to find sensors for each function of the gauge,tehn figure out how to hook up the speedometer as your new gauge is electric and the old gauge is cable driven.
By the time you get this gauge to even function you are gonna spend more than actual Aftermarket stuff.
Cost wise,not worth it...Electrically,a Pain in the Butt.
Then Fabbing the thing into the dash..Totally a Cluster F***.

 

I have an S4 NA cluster you could use as a form to build the digital stuff into. let me know if you're interested.

 

i think ill just upgrade my cluster. mite try the digital stuff later on when i hv more money

i found a write up of how to do a custom digital gauge set-up. looks very nice. guy isnt finished yet but i cant wait to read the write up when he is so i can do it also

 

There is also the Racepak.

Long story short you have a FC. Any digital cluster you put into it will be worth more than your car. =)
