Coolant and rubber hoses

Hey guys! I'm wanting to replace all rubbers and coolant hoses in a 1996 fd3s, is there any sites, brands and types you guys recommend from experience? Cheers!

Hi there,

Hopefully I don't break rules by posting to a shop site but when it comes to RX7s one of the best suppliers in North America for parts is Racing Beat based in Florida.
They have upgrade parts for every generation of rotaries and are beloved by 1st gen guys for their constant supply of headers, block off kits, intake manifolds, and pre-turned carburetor setups.

They sell high quality coolant hoses for all 3 gens. Here is the link for your 3rd gen : Silicone Radiator Hose Kit for 93-95 RX-7 - Racing Beat

That is a fair price IMO.

I just measured all the ID's and went off that, iirc there's only a few different sizes throughout the car.

Just a heads up as 96 suggests it's RHD. There are three hoses on the LHD that are not found on the RHD. The RHD requires two different hoses due to different hard lines because of the heater core location.
FD01-61-214B is found on both RHD and LHD

RHD Heater core hoses:
F100-61-211B – engine block to heater hardline on firewall
F100-61-212A – heater core to hardline on firewall
FD01-61-214B - water pump housing to hardline (passenger side)

LHD heater core hoses
FD01-61-211B hardline to heater
FD01-61-212B heater to hardline to engine
FD01-61-213B hardline to engine block
FD01-61-214B water pump to hard line

Stay with OEM for the coolant hoses. In some cases, like turbo coolant lines, there are no other practical choices. You don’t need to spend silly money on silicone radiator hoses unless you just have to have another color for something that barely shows. OEM fits and lasts a LONG time....probably doesn’t need changing anyway.
For vacuum hose quality thick-walled silicone or viton is the preferred substitute. Not sure about vendors in Australia but you can network with other owners or search the net.
