Coolant questions...

Coolant questions...
I got a 1995 fd3s Rx7 bathurst r for almost a month now...
And I don't drive the car much just recently that I started to drive the car and the coolant light started to flash and doing that awful noise...
So I got a bottle of coolant, but since is a rotary and I have almost no knowledge on this type of engine I wanna ask you guys if I can fill the coolant with the engine cold, or should I wait to warm up a little? not hot not cold as I use to do with my skyline.....
