Help...Add Coolant light on but I have plent yof coolant
My Add Coolant light went on today and that horrible beeping sound was going off with it. It would shut of momentarily for 30secs then go off for a few minutes and shut off for a little and on again for anohter few minutes. I got home and checked the coolant container and its well above the refill line. What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

check the sensor on top of the radiator. My light/buzzer were going off at random times and one day it stayed on. I thought I had no coolant left. After driving like a grandma all the way home I checked the sensor. Turns out the sensor wire was cut right by the air filter were it comes out of the harness.
Check the sensor like above, if the wire is loose it could cause it to go off sometimes. But what you really want to check is the radiator fill cap itself. Its location is dependant on year, but it is a regular radiator cap located either on an extension of the radiator itself or on top of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. If it requires filling, then you have to remove a plastic air bleed screw on the side of the top of the radiator and then fill with coolant until it starts comming out of the air bleed. Then replace the bleed and fill until all the way full. Simply because the reserve tank is full doesnt necessarily mean that the coolant system itself is full.
Update
I haven't had time to look for a leak but I have noticed this: Everytime the buzzer goes off I just put the car in neutral and rev it to about 3000-4000 RPM and the buzzer turns off for a short amount of time (not too long though
). Is there a reason for that?

it's possable that your coolant seals are weak as well, and you're blowing exhaust bubbles into the rad. which might cause it to come off and on. check you rad for cooland level, and refill and bleed to make sure all the air is out. once you do that, leave the cap off, pull the EGI fuse out from under the hood, and crank the engine while watching the the coolant level (might need 2 people) if if shoots up while you crank, you have problems... but it's hopefully just leaking a bit.
The first time that happened to me
With my 87 GXL .....The first time I had the coolant buzzer on was when I got a crack in the little extension that holds the upper radiator cap to the upper radiator hose housing. It had a hairline crack that would make the sensor think there was low coolant from time to time. Replaced it and it quit. Look there.
The second time ....the plastic top to the stock radiator had a hairline fracture near the level sensor. Replaced it with a all metal rad.

the reason your coolant buzzer went off when you revved it up si because you are throwind coolant throught the filler neck. take off the radiator cap and fill it. as mentioned before your overflow tank in no way suggests the amount of coolant in your tank. it is just there to catch the stuff pushed out when the liquid expands. the only reason there are marks is so that idiots dont fill it up cold and blow coolant all over the place

Remember this is a PRESSURE SENSOR not a fill level sensor - you can have low pressure and still have lots of coolant - I would look first at the pressure cap and then check the water pump for a leak from the weep hole underneath the pump, then the engine seals.
Check the O-ring located on the extension that bolts to the top of the radiator. There should be three bolts holding it together, and there is an O-ring that fits in between the two plastic pieces. Mine came out when I had the radiator out, and my coolant buzzer was going off evertime I started the car until it got warm. I cut the O-ring so that it would fit back in there (it was old and stretched), and stuck it back in and filled the radiator, and now I have no problems at all. I'm still going to replace the O-ring, but haven't got around to it yet.
