coolant in my oil

I just bought an fc a couple of weeks ago. I went to check my oil before I went to work and found that it was white. I believe that its coolant mixing with my oil somehow. if anyone has any ideas on what it might be plz let me know or if I can fix it.

are you sure about this?
The oil cap has a tendency to collect condensation and it looks like whitish baby poop..

^What he said. It's likely just emulsified oil/water. It's typical in the spring and fall, when it's cool...and moisture condenses. Seems to get worse when the car is used for short trips or otherwise not kept at full operating temperature long enough to dry it out. I'd think coolant would have a definite coolant 'odor' to it.

voice of experience (piston engines, anyways), condensation in the cap will be white, coolant will be more yellow, milkshakey, drain a bit from the pan and if that's clean, that should tell you what you need to know. also check the coolant for brown rather than your basic green or red. (if it's rust, you should be draining it anyways...)

oil/water doesn't emulsify completely, so if you leave it in the pan for a while, the water should sink and the first shot you drain should be pretty milky if you have a problem. Pulling the dipstick won't tell you much in this case. This way if you're not looking to do an oil change, it's just a quick check. But you should do an oil change anyways. At least, I would if there was a concern here.

Not sure on a rotary, but on an LSx it will tell you that the headgasket is probably blown.
