convertable top not working
convertable top not working
i own an 88 rx-7 convertable and the top wont go down, i have checked the fuses but none were burnt. it will go up surprisingly. could it be a relay? and is there a manual way to put it down.
It can be put down manually, and there is, buried somewhere in the owner's manual, a procedure for doing so. IIRC, you have to pull off the cover behind the seats, and then it should be somewhat obvious.
I'd check the switch and clean it, before I'd go chasing relays, though. It /should/ be the same relay in both directions, but I'd have to drive a couple of hours to check mine.
