cold start

I have a 88 vert when its cold the car will start but it wont stay on. I have to keep my foot on the gas till it starts to warm up. ............then its ok. I know nothing is blown and i changed my t.p.s. and it still does it.......... Need help diagnosing this.

Check the thermosensor operation.
And the cold idle operation.

Make sure the cold start cam is not suck.

Check to make sure the BAC is connected and functional.

Check the thermowax assembly and its coolant feed.

My car does the same thing... I would check the IAC valve..

Before trying to start, you should press the gas pedal to the floor one time. This sets the "cold start cam" and produces a higher idle speed until warmed up. If you are already doing this, and still having issues, then you'll need to troubleshoot the system...

yea it still dies out it dose the cold start but when it gose down it dies out then i re-start it and keep my foot on the gass it a lil warm and its cool like it wont die
