VA clutch bleeding problem

hello fellow members, i recently had some weird problems with my clutch. first time something happened i got out of my car after i put it in neutral and got back a few seconds after and i noticed my clutch was still on the floor. panicked and picked it up and after that it worked as usual and as usual is kinda notchy sometimes you feel a little clunk when putting it into another gear and after that i went home, did my 3k mile oil change and then neutrald it out of my driveway and tried to put it in gear and it would not budge, so i had to push it off to the side of the road. i looked inside at my clutch fluid res and it looked very dirty like rusty water looking and figured i needed to get that bad fluid out and that was the reason why. after that i didn't touch it for the night. i come back the next day to bleed it and i looked up this forum https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...eeding-414277/ and did the thing where you would open the bleeder push the pedal down then close it and lift the pedal back up and repeat 4 or 5 times i probably did 6 in total. i didn't do that first though i just tried to get the new fluid to come into the bottle during bleeding because i figured new fluid is better than old. well the res had been filled up about 3 times still dirty looking fluid, but idk maybe brake fluid just looks like that. after the whole procedure the clutch was feeling ever lower where it would bite and i started it up and it would go into gear (the car would go into gear when the car was off i figured out) but my foot would be all the way down in gear and i started moving so i tried to put it in neutral and it would not budge, when you let clutch out just a little bit it chirped the wheels in the dirt so i cut the car off and tried bleeding again and i got to the point where i could put it in gear and have the car not moving and rolling back and i could actually change gears while driving but the clutch is way lower than what it was and i feel like ive tried everything and still no luck . i got no air out of the bleeding process just dirty fluid that was kinda red, and i used a bottle that had brake fluid in it and a tube from the bleeder nip. this is an 1988 gxl for those wondering. thanks for looking hopefully my clutch isnt faaked i did drift this on the stock clutch i think for 5 events and did not alot but a decent amount of clutch kicking, im not even worried if it is the clutch i just want to drive it again thanks again

it's time to replace all related hydraulic components. master/slave cylinders and flex line between them. also flush out the hard line.

Just to piggy back on rxtasy3's comment:

This is likely a hydraulic issue as evident by the sometimes working, sometimes not working clutch pedal. If it was a clutch issue, typically the car would not move while in gear and you would not have issues putting it in gear.

This is either a bad master cylinder or slave cylinder in the clutch hydraulics; You want to replace both at the same time or the other will fail shortly after and you'll be in the same predicament again. Go ahead and replace the hose since it's likely the original hose as well, it's fairly cheap insurance.

Try reading this for some help on bleeding the clutch afterwards, it's almost the same between all of the generations: https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-arch...clutch-685119/
