Clutch bleeding opinions

OK, I've been through the hydraulics before but both times now I've gotten my *** kicked trying to bleed the air from the system!

I have an ezi-bleed, pressurized the master cylinder to 10PSI, taped the bleeder valve threads, have a hose running from the bleeder valve to a jar of fresh fluid & I can see air coming out. Once the bubbles stop I tighten bleeder valve & I still have no clutch!

Pump the pedal 20-30 times to push the air around & go at it again with the same results...

Last time I replaced the master, line & follower & got it to work by pressurizing the reservoir.

So, any suggestions to get the air out more effectively?

Did you drop the little BB that the slave bleeder screw pushes on? I did that once and the clutch didn't work until I put it back in. Make sure you put the little BB (small chrome sphere) in the bleeder screw hole on the slave cylinder before you install the bleeder screw.

Umm, Yea Rated R, I did say that...

Anyhow, it turns out Mazda has revised the clutch slave cylinder replacing the check ball & bleed valve with a standard brake system style bleeder. In fact it looks identical to the rear brake bleeder (which means it's smaller & has different thread than the prev. slaves)! I'd post a pic but...

This means you can now bleed the clutch like a brake system (have someone hold the pedal to the floor while you crack open the valve)

BUT, that wasn't my problem anyhow. My stupid *** put the dam disk in backwards so the clutch slave was always fully extended! (Yes Rated R I said "Always fully extended"!)

So, I took an hour off to cool down, wash some clothes, cook a steak then went back under. I got the gearbox off, flipped the disk, & had the box, Drive shaft & PPF back together in 2 hours. Not bad considering I didn't even have a helper to crank the jacks! (Yes Rated R, I said "Crank the jack"!)

ACT Clutch wont operate

I have found myself in this boat too now. I have installed an ACT Z65-HD00, SRmotorsports 11lbs flywheel, and Rx7store SS brake line. No matter how many times I bleed the dam system I cannot get the Tranny in gear unless the rotor is not on. I was at a point where I was going to take my toy to Mariah's MS and have them fix what I ****'ed up.

Es, "nice shoes"

I would like to say a big THANK YOU for posting here what you went thru and what you found to remedy the problem. You saved me a lot of time, money, and hassle. Any time you are in Southern California PM me and I would like to take you out to lunch or buy you a few beers.
