've been searching alot and i haven't found much that helps. I am not sure how the choke operates on the nikki carb, i pull the lever but the flap on the primaries does not do anything, and the car will not start. but when i manually close the flap it will and runs for a while. also i cannot find the hot start cable anywhere there are only two cables coming out of my firewall.. also it is an 83 rx7 any help is much appreciated

 

take the blue filter housing off and see if the cable is broken, most of the time you need the choke to start and run for the first few mins.
